We’re excited to announce the release of version 4.3 of the Cvent Salesforce App!
Support for Person Accounts: Sync your Cvent contact data with SF person accounts. Match with existing person accounts. Create a new ones in case of no match. Nominate/Invite/Register person accounts to Cvent events. Note: Requires SF person accounts feature to be enabled.
No need to specify Account fields matching if you don’t want to: We removed “Account” table from the fields matching section. Now it’s required to specify an account fields matching only in case you want the app to create a new contact and assign it to the matched SF account.
Long/rich text areas available for field mapping: You can now use long/rich text area type fields in your field mapping configuration.
Support for Salesforce Professional Edition: The Cvent application can now be installed and used for Salesforce Professional Edition. For this edition, there are a few platform limitations:
- Jobs scheduling is not supported. This means that data syncing and purging can only be triggered manually. They can’t be scheduled and performed automatically.
- Validation of asynchronous process is not supported. The app is supposed to let you know if you try to perform a sync before a previous sync completed. This is done in order to avoid race conditions and data discrepancy. However, this type of validation is not supported for Professional Edition. Users with this edition will need to go to Setup > Apex Jobs to check whether any Cvent asynchronous jobs are in progress before starting a new one.
