Cvent Salesforce App – 5.3 Release

We’re excited to announce the release of version 5.3 of the Cvent Salesforce App!

Support for Salesforce mobile app: Now you can manage event invitations and nominations on your phone via the Salesforce native mobile app. Refer to the following link for device operating system and version requirements.

Please note Cvent Admin and campaign management flows are not available in the mobile app.

Push data into Cvent custom fields upon invitation: Mapping for Cvent custom contact fields now gets enforced whenever an invitation is sent.

Keep in mind that custom fields are processed all at once, which means an error with one field leads to all custom fields failing to update.

Personalize invitation email sender: Now you can personalize sender details (like the From name) for an invitation email you’re sending to a Salesforce contact. This allows you to send invitations on behalf of a Salesforce contact’s representative.

Delegate nomination approval to someone else: Cvent admins can now reassign a nomination from one approver to another for review. That is especially helpful when a decision maker becomes inactive, which would otherwise cause the nomination to be permanently stuck in Pending status.

NOTE: If you’re upgrading from an older version (5.1 or below), please ensure you get the latest metadata. Salesforce admins can do this from the Cvent App Configuration page after the app is upgraded.
