If you use the multiple currencies feature in Salesforce, it’s important to understand how it works in the Cvent Salesforce App. This guide provides a reference table that describes how multiple currencies work for each relevant Salesforce object.

Multiple Currencies

If you’re using the currencies feature in Salesforce, its functionality automatically applies in the Cvent Salesforce App. The reference table below describes how currencies work for each relevant Salesforce object.

Cvent EventSalesforce currency code field is populated with the Cvent event currency.
Attendee & Attendee Temp RecordSalesforce currency code field is populated with the currency from the corresponding Cvent event.
Attendee ActivitySalesforce currency code field is populated with the currency from the parent attendee.
Task & OpportunitySalesforce currency code field is populated with the currency from parent attendee on new record creation. The Cvent Salesforce App does not support updating existing tasks and opportunities with a currency.
Contact & Lead & Person AccountField Mappings configuration is applied. Map Contact / Lead / Account Currency fields with attendee-level Currency ISO Code field to update your Salesforce records with corresponding attendee currency.
CampaignFor session campaigns, the Salesforce currency code field is populated with the currency from the parent event campaign. For event campaigns, the field mappings configuration is applied. Map campaign Currency ISO Code field with event currency code field to update your campaign with the corresponding event currency. Remember that Salesforce doesn’t allow different currencies for campaigns within the same hierarchy. Ensure the event you are linking to a campaign has the same currency as the campaign hierarchy to avoid update errors.
Campaign MemberThe Salesforce currency code field is populated with the currency from the parent campaign on new campaign members’ creation. Currency for existing campaign members is not being updated.
