Overview

This article covers the process and best practices for sales users to nominate contacts or leads using Salesforce. Covering key aspects such as permissions, mobile app management, initiating the nomination workflow, and monitoring nominations, this comprehensive guide aims to empower sales users with the tools and knowledge to efficiently and effectively nominate contacts or leads for different events, while also keeping track of their progress.

Once the nomination receives final approval, this configuration takes effect and sends the invitation. The system disregards the configuration if the approvers reject the nomination.

Monitoring Nominations

You can keep track of approver comments under the “Approvers” Related page on a nomination.
The most recent approver comment appears on the Details page of a target nomination or directly from the list view.

Cancelling Nominations

You can cancel nomination requests if they’re no longer valid. To do this:

  1. Go to the App launcher and search for “Nominations.”
  1. Select the nomination you want to cancel. The cancel button appears on the “Related” tab.

After submitting a nomination, those involved receive notifications:

    • All reviewers approve the request, or
    • One of the reviewers declines the request
