Overview

This guide covers turning on the Person Account matching feature. With this feature on and configured field matching and mappings, it becomes straightforward to match existing and create new person accounts in Salesforce, allowing for streamlined event management actions. This article walks you through how to enable the feature and use person accounts in the Cvent Salesforce App.

Enabling the Feature

Enable Person Accounts to match existing and create new person accounts on syncing attendee and respondent data to Salesforce.

To enable the feature, go to Setup > Visualforce Pages. Click the preview button for the App Configuration Page. In the Cvent App Configuration section, toggle Enable Person Accounts Integration to blue.

Note

Toggle is only visible in case you have already enabled person accounts in your Salesforce instance.

Using Person Accounts in the Cvent Salesforce App

Go to Cvent Admin tab and configure field matching and field mappings for person accounts, customize layout and create new or update an existing lightning page for person accounts to expose event management actions.

Note

Once the feature is turned off, person accounts are ignored for new record matching processes. The existing association between Cvent contacts and Salesforce person accounts aren’t affected.
